Shelf Stacking

Slogging through box after box :-(
And trying to make sense of it all in the new space.

In the crush

Started getting things onto shelves...

And THEN Im told we have to get the Labs empty THIS week, not NEXT week like I was told.
So ALL the remaining crates came into my room.

Its been an interesting week.
And I cant move in my room :-(

Racking

Got the Dexion racking together.
It was a sod of a job.

Shelves !

Estates have started to get the Shelving done.  There's so much I cant unpack until this is all done.

I managed to get loads of boxes done, but it doesn't look like it....

Old Room Empty

So its finally all gone.
All feels very odd after a year of slaving away in there trying to sort it all out.

Shelving an Idea

Letting teachers loose with power tools.
I wasn't sure this was a good idea, but it turned out alright.
Cyril was a Legend.
Mike lost a drill bit.
All normal here then.

Dont like it.

Cyril got the shelves down finally.  It was a pain having to do each bolt by hand.

Almost done.  Only a couple things left to do like my workbench and the stationary cupboard.
I don't like it looking all empty :-(

So the Lab starts to get packed.
We must have scrapped 50% of what was there, and theres STILL loads...and loads.....

Bird Feeders

Sprayed up some bird feeders for a Student doing an experiment on color affecting visits of garden birds.

My new Penthouse Suite

Not sure where the others are going yet.
And they don't seem to have finished my roof garden yet.

Dark Room

Packed and ready to go, plus all the empty boxes for the Lab and my room.

All the optics and darkroom kit reduced down to one set of Gratnell Racks.

Moving Material

I don’t have thoughts today

I’m just a machine

I have to stop midday for fuel

But the thoughts and plans

Its only a matter of weeks and days till it’s done

But there’s a lot of material to move from one place to the next

Thank God I have tea bags.

Shelves Down

2 sets of shelves down.
Makes the Room look much brighter, but shows the dirty walls after years of being up there.

FINALLY the Helium has arrived.
Aaaaaaaaand I got a shiny new Regulator (after MUCH fuss).
Now we can demo Bruce again :-)

Electrical Trolley

Very happy to get this sorted with Joes' help, with all the kit that's normally needed for basic electronics lessons.
All 'gratnelled' and labelled.

Bzzzzztt !!!!!!

Made a 'buzz wire' for a students project about lie detecting.
No idea about his method, but WE got our buzz free time down to 25 secs. :-)
(Then Lewis smashed it with 20secs, so Im not playing any more)

New Building Visit

A group of us had a walk around.  Looking good!
Nice and bright.  Smaller than we have but all new and looking forward to it.
NOT looking forward to having to pack all the kit and sort it all out again at the other end though :-(

Electrical Cupboard

Attacked the Electrical Cupboard in the Darkroom with extreme prejudice.
Its now a thing of beauty.
Threw out loads as usual, but it took an AGE to sort through all the fiddly bits and bobs.

Shame I have to bag it all up and take it all out again for the move :-(

Lenses

Hit the Darkroom with Richard.  Got through loads of drawers and sorted tons of Mirrors, Lenses and Prisms.  Kept Full sets of whats actually needed and binned boxes full of old or broken stuff (below)

Gonna Need a Bigger Boat

An Inflatable Remote Controlled Shark.....to demonstrate......something or other....Who cares, I got an inflatable shark !
